	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g50/382750/382750_1263925562_small.jpg"><br><br>Portrait of my girlfriend from photos, observation and feeling turned into an avatar. I was very much inspired by the movie, but unlike in the movie I left the eyes and the ears on their places so the likeness would stay. I also left out the stripes and changed the hue for more realism...hopefully <img src="http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="" class="inlineimg" /><br />

	<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g50/382750/382750_1260792358_small.jpg"><br><br>I made this weird portrait of BC in a week, really happy with how it turned out with the time given. Around 4 million polygons, rendered in zbrush and composited in photoshop.<br />

I didn't go for photo realism, but rather tried to capture a moment of distress, with some areas left exaggerated and simplified (such as the skin pores) to hopefully accent the feeling I was going for and not loose it to the amount of detail.<br />
